The number of workers going on strike has fallen to the lowest ever number, reveals the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The figures have revealed that the number of workers in labour disputes in 2017 has fallen to 33,000, which is an all-time low for Britain since records began in 1891.
Following this strike action, 276,000 working days were lost, coming in at a sixth lowest annual total.
The majority of these lost working days were due to changes and strikes around railway transport, including stoppages and pay disputes.
Though figures are still in their thousands, the number of workers taking action marks a drastic change from the earliest records when figures reached over 600,000 from miner strikes.
